Hybrid Positioning Technology
Hybrid Positioning™ technology is the ability to use both GNSS positioning and optical positioning data at the same time, in ways that improve field measurement efficiency. MAGNET™ Field software now has an available module for Hybrid Positioning.
Topcon has revolutionized the industry by providing GNSS receivers that utilize the most advanced signal processing and robust performance in difficult environments. Additionally, Topcon’s optical total station technology of advanced tracking and powerful EDM performance is industry leading. These two hardware solutions, plus MAGNET Field software, come together to make Hybrid Positioning technology.
Hybrid Lock
Turns the instrument toward the prism location so that the user can quickly regain lock and tracking. Hybrid Locks allows the user to record more measurements. Hybrid Lock is the ultimate in prism reacquisition.
Hybrid Switch
Provides the measurement professional with a fast change between GPS measurements and optical total station measurements. The workflow provides the customer with a faster workflow with less setup of the total station over points. By using the Magnet software the user can easily switch with one push of a button.
Hybrid Resection
Lets the user visit points with RTK coordinates for control while having the Robotic instrument in a safe location. Workflow provides the user with Geodetic coordinates to geo-reference the jobsite This can be achieved fast for any job site setup.
Faster field work
Hybrid Positioning™ systems will perform faster in the field compared to other robotic systems and with more versatility than an RTK-only system. The hybrid system combines both GNSS positioning and optical robotic measurements into one rover pole measurement point. It is impossible to achieve a robotic line of sight to all points. Hybrid Positioning reduces the need for traversing and multiple tripod set ups.
Compatible with many configurations
The Hybrid Positioning™ module can be added to Topcon robotic total station instrument. For example, an owner of a Topcon QS robot could add a HiPer SR receiver to the system and use Hybrid Positioning technology to Hybrid Lock.
NET-G5
The NET-G5 is a GNSS reference receiver for many types of applications among other GNSS infrastructure network receivers, permanent reference stations, field (mobile) base stations and reference stations for scientific analysis.
The NET-G5 is capable of tracking all GNSS constellation including GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS as well as SBAS using 452-Channel Vanguard Technology with Universal Tracking Channels. In short, the NET-G5 has a rugged and integrated design with longer operating time and high reliability. The NET-G5 supports an extended communication option with advanced web-server functionality.

Leading Reference Station Receiver
Using Topcon’s premium Vanguard and Universal Tracking Channel technologies, the NET-G5 GNSS receiver incorporates 452 channels capable of tracking multi-frequency signals from all GNSS constellations including GPS, GLONASS, SBAS, QZSS, Galileo and Beidou. This includes all modernized GNSS signals.
The NET-G5 is all about Connectivity!
The NET-G5 receiver offers a complete system connectivity solution by allowing the receiver to be accessed via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth as well as by using standard serial or USB connections. The NET-G5 can also serve as a USB Host and provides a new web-based user interface that offers flexible configuration options and portability. The USB Host feature allows the user to connect a USB memory stick or USB Mass Storage Device (UMS) to the NET-G5 receiver as well. The UMS provides a simple solution for transferring raw data files from the receiver’s SD card, or extending the NET-G5 with a semi-permanent high capacity storage option. The NET-G5 supports flash-based UMS devices as well as hard drive-based UMS devices.
The NET-G5 allows receiver management through a web interface. Can’t get any easier than that!
Advanced Feodetic antennas
Premium positioning technology, extended communication support, advanced web-server capability, longer operating time, and high-reliability put the NET-G5 receiver a step ahead of the competition. When paired with one of Topcon’s industry-leading geodetic antenna (CR-G5/CR-G5-C and PN-A5/PN-A5-C), the NET-G5 receiver provides the ultimate GNSS networking and infrastructure solution available in the market today.
AGM-1
Designed to suit virtually any agricultural machine type, make and model; the Topcon AGM-1 receiver provides flexible manual guidance for any application.

HiPer HR
The HiPer HR GNSS receiver overcomes field challenges with a unique blend of technologies. If you’re under tree cover, or can’t get the pole plumb, or need to range widely from your base, or you need superb accuracy, or work in wet conditions, or all of the above, you’ll be free to do your best work.
As part of the Elite Suite hybrid positioning solution, using network correction, mounted to a vehicle or grade checking with Millimeter GPS, or an almost countless number of applications, the HR combines the features to help you succeed.

Topcon Integrated Leveling Technology (TILT™)
By combining a 9-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), along with a digital compass, the HR can accurately compensate for up to 15º of tilt on the rod.
Now you can measure all the way to a building edge without using an offset. Or stretch to get an otherwise out-of-reach point.
Just as with many other Topcon technologies, TILT™ is designed to solve real-world challenges, so your work gets easier, faster, and better.
HiPer SR
Daily setup routines are made easy through the HiPer SR’s LongLink intelligence feature. More than just a wireless Bluetooth connection, LongLink serves to automatically connect multiple HiPer SR rovers to your mobile base. Just power them on and let the system do the rest. Combine your Topcon HiPer SR receiver with a robotic total station system, to create a Hybrid solution ready for any environment.
This entry-level GNSS solution is ideal for interference-free, short-range, wireless communication between base and rover. With an optional, internal, dual-SIM cellular modem the HiPer SR can also be used as a MAGNET Relay mobile base, adding flexibility to your portfolio for your various project scenarios.

A single carrying case containing two of your Topcon HiPer SR receivers empowers you to make radically different choices based on the project in front of you. Straight forward, two units perform with minimal effort using a base to rover LongLink communication method. As the project size grows, each of the two HiPer SR receivers quickly morph into two unique network rover receivers. Further, same two HiPer SR units are also flexible enough to host a MAGNET Relay mobile reference station session. No project too large, no environment too harsh.
HiPer VR
The HiPer VR is compact, light and packed with the most advanced GNSS technology in a design built to withstand the harshest field environments. Using Topcon’s advanced GNSS chipset with Universal Tracking Channels Technology, the HiPer VR automatically tracks every satellite signal above – now and into the future.
All signals, all satellites and all constellations — in a compact, rugged design, with an integrated IMU and eCompass.
The HiPer VR is a complete solution and versatile in many ways. It can be used for static or kinematic GNSS post-processed surveys, as a network RTK rover with the FC-5000’s internal 4G/LTE cellular modem, as a UHF/FH/Longlink jobsite RTK rover, and also in Topcon’s patented Hybrid Positioning workflow.

Topcon Inertial Leveling Technology (T.I.L.T.)
By combining a 9-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), along with a digital compass, the HR can accurately compensate for up to 15º of tilt on the rod. Now you can measure all the way to a building edge without using an offset. Or stretch to get an otherwise out-of-reach point. Just as with many other Topcon technologies, T.I.L.T. is designed to solve real-world challenges, so your work gets easier, faster, and better.
MR-2
The MR-2 combines futureproof full constellation tracking with HD2/heading capabilities and a comprehensive set of communication interfaces. The MR-2 is able to track all present and upcoming GNSS constellations and satellite signals. With 8 GB of internal storage and enhanced connection options, including serial, USB, CAN and ethernet, the MR-2 is a versatile GNSS receiver suitable for any OEM application.
